AUSTIN -- Central Texas will see a chance for storms over the next few days.
A strong upper-level area of low pressure will allow for a chance of strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday. Although the risk is small, some storms could produce large hail and damaging winds.
Showers continue through Friday morning with another opportunity of strong to severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening. Storms on Friday could once again produce large hail and high winds.
A weak cold front will slip through the area late Friday, ending our severe weather chances.
The front will be the focus of additional light showers on Saturday with highs in the upper 70s. It should be mostly cloudy and mainly dry for Sunday, with highs back in the low 80s.
