Due to heavy rains falling over Central Texas this week, Hays and Williamson Counties have lifted their burn bans.
The Hays County Commissioners Court announced Tuesday that the burn ban was lifted for unincorporated areas of the county. It was put in place July 9.
In Williamson County, the burn ban was also lifted on Tuesday. It was put in place by county officials on July 9 as well.
Officials ask residents to please be careful when burning things outdoors.
