AUSTIN -- Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the man they believe is involved in a deadly shooting at a Travis County auto shop.

A man and woman were inside the shop at Howard Lane and Metric Monday morning when a gunman came in and opened fire.

Travis County officials say Roy Rogers Soliz of Pflugerville shot 38-year-old Christopher Carson, who later died at a Round Rock hospital.

The woman was also taken to the hospital to be checked out, but investigators say she was not injured.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says Soliz is considered armed and dangerous, but because he knew the victim and the homicide was not a random act of violence, they do not believe him to be a threat to the public. However, the public should not approach him and should call 911 if they come into contact with him.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Soliz or this case should call detectives at 512-854-3234 or call Crime Stoppers at 472-TIPS (472-8477).
