AUSTIN -- Congressman Michael McCaul visited the Austin Independent School District's Liberal Arts and Science Academy Wednesday morning to present the Congressional Award Bronze Medal to senior Harper Hill.

Hill, who's also an Eagle Scout, worked more than 200 hours to qualify for the award. That includes public service projects and time spent on physical fitness and personal development projects.

He already knows where he'll keep his medal.

"I have a little bulletin board by my bed where I put all my awards, so I'm gonna put it on there," said Hill.

Hill says he still hasn't decided where he'll go to college in the fall. He wants to major in either mechanical or chemical engineering and work on developing alternative energy.
