AUSTIN -- Austin police are investigating a home invasion in South Austin.

Police say they received a call just before 8 p.m. Monday to an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Aftonshire Way. Police tell KVUE News the caller said a man had kicked in a door and started shooting.

When officers arrived they found one resident injured. Paramedics took that person to University Medical Center Brackenridge.

A spokesperson for Austin-Travis County EMS says the person suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Police don't have much information on the intruders at this time. Investigators say only that they're two African American men, and they were seen leaving in a green Ford Explorer or Expedition.
