AUSTIN -- An Austin police officer is recovering after a collision with a suspected drunk driver.

Police say the officer was responding to pursuit call around 2 a.m. Sunday, when he collided with another car in the 6100 block of Manor Road.

The officer was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Police say the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was arrested for DWI.
