A former Austin High School student is sentenced to seven years probation for firing a rifle at a car near campus.

A Travis County jury convicted Jay Carbullido earlier Friday on four counts of aggravated assault.

Last November, Carbullido opened fire on a car full of classmates after an argument. Investigators say the 17-year-old fired nine times with a .22-caliber rifle hitting the car six times.

No one inside the car was hurt.
