AUSTIN --This weekend shoppers have the opportunity to support homeless residents in Austin by buying handmade art.
The annual Art From the Streets exhibit gives dozens of artists the opportunity to showcase and sell their work to the public.
It's happening at St. David's Trinity Center in downtown Austin Saturday and Sunday. It runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door.
Last year, more than 1,100 people attended the show, and artists earned more than $68,000 through sales of their art. It provides food, clothing, medical needs, and places to stay.
