AUSTIN -- Austin police continue to search for the suspect in an October homicide.

Police responded to reports of a crash just before 2:30 a.m. Oct. 21, 2012 on Loyola Lane near Millrace Drive off U.S. Highway 183 in East Austin. They say 17-year-old Efren Gonzalez-Rojas, Jr. had been ejected from his vehicle after it hit a pole. He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe Gonzalez-Rojas and another man got into a fight in the parking lot of Club Escapade on Decker Lane. When the fight carried over to the road, police believe the other man rammed his truck into Gonzalez-Rojas' car from behind. This caused Gonzalez-Rojas to hit the pole.

The suspect vehicle left the scene and police are still looking for him. Police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect's vehicle, which is described as a large white or grey pickup truck, possibly a Ford Super Duty. This truck will possibly have front end damage.

The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the homicide tip line at 512-477-3588 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text "Tip 103" + your message to CRIMES.
