AUSTIN -- An Austin police officer involved in a deadly shooting last year will not face charges.
Officer Brandon Blanch was no billed by a grand jury on Friday. Last September he shot and killed 42-year-old Maurice Chad Paladino.
Police say Paladino was driving a stolen SUV toward Blanch when Blanch fired his weapon.
Paladino was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he later died.
