AUSTIN -- The Austin Police Department has made an arrest in nearly 30 home burglary cases.
Police say Victor Solano-Rojas, 31, was arrested for burglarizing a home at 8707 Bridgeport Drive around midnight on Monday, Jan. 14.
APD says Solano-Rojas forced his way inside the home and stole property. The victim inside the house gave police a detailed description of the suspect. Officers found Solano-Rojas walking around the neighborhood and brought him in for an interview.
During the interview, police say Solano-Rojas admitted to the Jan. 14 burglary as well as others. He told police he stole jewelry and money. In the end he admitted to 29 burglaries.
Solano-Rojas then led police to each location where he stole items, and they conducted three different search warrants.
Police say the majority of the owners of the stolen property have been located.
