AUSTIN -- A new elementary school in North Austin now has a name.
The AISD Board of Trustees named the campus in honor of Dr. Janis Guerrero Thompson. The new school is located at 102 East Rundberg Lane and sits on about 17 acres.
When completed, the school will be a 98,000-square-foot facility with 40 classrooms.
Construction is scheduled to be complete by August.
