AUSTIN, Texas -- The Austin ISD school board is meeting Monday night to discuss changes to graduation requirements for students.

The trustees are considering whether the most rigorous path to graduation should be the district's default plan for all students.

That path includes algebra two, which the Texas Board of Education dropped from graduation requirements last month. If the board approves the change, parents can still opt out.
