AUSTIN -- Investigators say small fire at a North Austin fourplex was caused by an electrical short.
Flames broke out shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday at 1903 Hearthside Drive near Research Boulevard. Four adults and three children inside made it out and are doing okay.
AFD tells KVUE that it was a very small fire, and that there isn't visible damage from the outside of the home. It caused about $30,000 in damage.
AFD says all seven displaced residents are staying with family.
