AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Austin police say several people were injured after a pickup slammed into a taco stand in Austin.

It happened on North Lamar near Payton Gin Road.

Police say 21-year-old Osvaldo Galarza-Najera was drunk and angry about not being served when he smashed his pickup into a taco stand. He left the scene and was arrested a short time later.

Senior Officer Virginia Higginbotham says two women and a man were transported to the hospital after the crash. She says there were others injured though who did not want to be taken to the hospital.

She said none of the injuries were life-threatening.
