AUSTIN -- Southbound MoPac has re-opened at Slaughter Lane due to a seven-vehicle wreck.
Police say the crash happened around 3 p.m. and involved seven vehicles, including a trailer hauling a Bobcat pickup.
The rain had just let up, and the Austin Fire Department tells KVUE wet roads caused the accident. One of the cars slammed on their brakes, causing a chain-reaction crash.
Four of the seven vehicles had to be towed.
No serious injuries have been reported.
The highway was shut down and traffic was diverted while officials cleared the scene. MoPac re-opened around 4:10 p.m.
