FORT HOOD -- Special Agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) say early indications reveal that the three people found dead at a home on Fort Hood are possibly victims of an apparent murder suicide.

The bodies of a 43-year-old man and two female children, 9 and 4 years old, were discovered in a female soldier's on-post home at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 21. According to Fort Hood officials, the soldier had just returned from an overseas deployment, and the bodies were that of her husband and two daughters.

Though officials said the deaths were the result of an apparent murder suicide, a final determination has not been made. CID officials are still conducting an investigation.

CID officials said there is no further threat to the community at the time and that they are not releasing further information to protect the investigation, according to a release.
