TAYLOR, TEXAS - The pilot in the small plane crash that injured himself and his young daughter in Taylor, Texas Saturday morning has been identified.
According to KVUE's news partners at the Austin American-Statesman, Corpus Christi resident Horn Buckle, 41, was identified as the pilot. While the Statesman reports that he was severely burned in the crash, the extent of his 7-year-old daughter's injuries have not been revealed yet.
The plane crash was reported around 9:30 a.m. in the 620 block of County Road 403. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the plane was flying from Corpus Christi to Taylor.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will take over the investigation of the crash.
