2 dead, 1 in serious condition after crash in Burnet County

BURNET COUNTY, TEXAS - Two people have died and one person is in serious condition at a hospital after a crash in Burnet County Monday morning.

The crash happened at State Highway 29 and County Road 204 west of Bertram shortly before 8 a.m.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety, a Ford Focus was stopped in the inside lane on westbound SH 29 waiting to turn onto CR 304. A Dodge Ram was traveling westbound in the inside lane of SH 29 and struck the Ford Focus, forcing the Focus into the eastbound lane where it was struck by a Ford Escape. The Focus went off of the north side of the road, turned and rolled onto its left side. The Escape spun and rolled several times. 

Dena Kolb, 52, from Burnet, died at the scene. She was traveling in the Ford Escape.

Pamela Stewart, 56, from Bertram, was transported to the hospital where she died. She was in the Ford Focus.

Mark Salley, 56, from Leander, was transported to the hospital in serious condition. He was in the Dodge Ram.
