AUSTIN -- Police have released the name of the man arrested after two suspected burglars were involved in a fatal rollover crash.

Around 11:40 p.m. Thursday APD Cpl. Anthony Hipolito says a woman called 911 and told officers someone was trying to break in through her front door on Zill Court near Riddle Road and Old Manchaca Road.

When officers arrived at the house they reported seeing a silver Buick speeding away from the house.

Moments later another officer in the area says he saw the same type of vehicle. The officer turned around thinking it might be the one involved in the break-in. That’s when he says he saw the car run a red light, crash into a tree and roll over. Cpl. Hipolito says one person died in the crash.

Sebastian Mark Loera, 21, ran away from the scene but was later found between nearby houses and arrested.

“We did utilize our canine officers as well as our helicopter,” said Cpl. Hipolito.

Loera has been charged with murder, a first degree felony and burglary of a habitation, a second degree felony.

If you have information regarding this incident call (512) 874-8164. This is Austin's 14th fatal traffic crash of the year.
