COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Things were back to normal on the Texas A&M campus Thursday morning after a bomb threat Wednesday shut things down.
A Code Maroon emergency alert was issued on the campus of Texas A&M early Wednesday afternoon, a tweet from the school said.
"Code Maroon Bomb threat investigation at Kyle. Stadium and adjacent bldgs will be closed for remainder of day," read the tweet from @TAMUCodeMaroon at 12:29 p.m.
Around 7:10 p.m., Texas A&M tweeted that the school was all clear. Normal activities were scheduled to resume at 6 a.m. Thursday.
According to the university, about 700 people were evacuated Wednesday during the investigation.
The university says authorities were notified about the threat around 10:50 a.m. The threat was written on a wall of a non-academic facility on campus.
Federal agencies were contacted to aid in the on-going investigation.
