Power restored after Leander dump truck crash

LEANDER, TEXAS - Crews restored power to nearly 1,000 Pedernales Electric Cooperative customers after a dump truck collided with a pole in Leander on Monday morning.

PEC said on their outage page that 994 meters were affected in the outage. LPD said the outage had knocked out traffic signals along 183A at Hero Way, San Gabriel Parkway and the Highway 183 split. The outage affected north and southbound traffic. LPD provided an update around 8:20 a.m. that  power had been restored, and PEC's outage page no longer showed the large-scale outage.

Please remember that traffic signals that are not working or are flashing red are to be treated as four-way stops unless a police officer is directing traffic.
