AUSTIN - Police said a boy was injured in what was initially reported as a drive-by shooting in southeast Austin on Thursday afternoon.
APD said the shooting happened along the 5990 block of East Stassney Lane around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said the "juvenile male" was alert and conscious when he was taken to the hospital, but did not have information on his condition.
Police said there was no immediate danger to the public and believe the shooting was an isolated incident. APD added the nearby schools were not locked down.
