APD seeking info on unidentified man in 2014 case

AUSTIN - Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was found in a utility trailer in 2014.

The Sept. 2 release from APD states officers were notified on Jan. 17, 2014 of a deceased person in a utility trailer along the 1400 block of West 3rd Street. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s office performed an autopsy and determined his death to be of natural causes, but they were not able to identify the man.

The Texas Department of Public Safety created a postmortem rendering and investigators are asking the public’s assistance in identifying him.

Police said in their request the man was white, 5-feet 10-inches tall, and wearing jeans, T-shirt, gray zippered hoodie and a brown jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call the APD Homicide Tip Line at 512-477-3588, or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or texting "TIP 103" and your message to CRIMES.
