Power restored to around 1,500 in West Austin

AUSTIN – Crews have restored power to more than 1,500 Austin Energy customers following a Tuesday morning outage.

The utility said fallen tree limbs caused the outage that mainly impacted residents in the Shepherd Mountain area of Austin, including traffic lights at Loop 360 and RM 2222. The outage caused delays for motorists as the signals were being treated as all-way stops until power was restored.
