2 treated for smoke inhalation after North Austin house fire

AUSTIN – Two people were taken to an area hospital after a Wednesday morning house fire in North Austin.

Austin Fire Department said they were called to a home along the 9700 block of Mountain Quail Road around 6:30 a.m. June 21. Crews arrived and found a fire on the back part of the house that did spread to the attic before it was knocked down.

AFD said the two people were transported to be treated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
