AUSTIN - An overnight fire damaged Southside Flying Pizza and a neighboring Exxon station in South Austin.
The Austin Fire Department said they were called to the pizzeria at South Lamar and Lamar Square Drive shortly before 12 a.m. Friday. No one was in the building at the time the fire was called in, and investigators say the electrical fire started in the office area.
Damage to Southside Flying Pizza has been estimated at $175,000 - $100,000 to the structure and $75,000 to the contents. Smoke and fire control damage at the Exxon station was estimated at $5,000.
