Austin Energy says they have restored power to nearly 4,000 customers after a Monday morning outage.
The city utility stated on their outage center page that the outage near East 12th and Chicon Streets started around 9:30 a.m. Monday. They tweeted shortly before 11 a.m. that repairs had been completed and power was restored.
The outage had impacted traffic signals in East Austin, and the Austin Transportation Department is reminding all motorists that dark or flashing red power signals are to be treated as all-way stops.
