A new treatment promises to make you look years younger in just 20
minutes.
It's a laser treatment called Fraxel. It has the same benefits of skin
resurfacing, but without the risks.
"It basically makes people look five to ten years younger by
rejuvenating the skin," says Dr. Gregory Nikolaidis, a cosmetic
dermatologist.
A laser causes micro-injuries to the skin but does not peel it off.
Patients may look and feel a little sunburn or swollen.
But the side effects go away in a couple of days, rather than weeks.
There is no risk of infection or loss of pigmentation.
You should see results almost immediately, but doctors recommend about
four sessions.
That'll cost you about $3,000.
