Pre-Thanksgiving Workout: Get sweaty before you get stuffed

Exercise Minute: Slim up before the Thanksgiving meal

Trainer and Strive To Be Fit owner, Justin Wecker, will teach us four different core workouts in this Exercise Minute circuit. All you will need for these exercises is yourself.

Heels to Heaven

The first exercise is called heels to heaven. Start off by laying on your back with your hands placed underneath your butt and your legs placed straight out. Then, lift both legs up together to 90-degrees and then lift them up even higher to the ceiling once you reach 90-degrees. Repeat this continuously for 30 seconds and then take a 30-second break.

Flutter Kicks

The second exercise is called flutter kicks. Start off in the same position as in the first exercise with your back flat and your hands placed underneath your butt. Then, lift both legs up about two inches off the ground and then proceed to flutter kick your legs up and down while alternating each leg. Do this for 30 seconds and then take a 30-second break.

V-Ups

The third exercise in this circuit is called v-ups. For this exercise, you will also be flat on your back with your legs and arms stretched all the way out vertically on the floor. Then, raise your arms up with your legs like you're touching your toes and then go back into your starting position. Do this for 30 seconds and then take a 30 second break.

Russian Twist

The last exercise in this circuit is called the Russian twist. Start off by sitting on the ground with your back slightly leaned back and your legs placed at an angle off the floor. Then, rotate from hip to hip with your hands touching each side every time you rotate. Do this for 30 seconds followed by a 30-second break. Once you complete these exercise, repeat this circuit at least once more or as many times as you would like.
