WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas -- Three Central Texas counties are among the healthiest in the state with Williamson County topping the list.
The University of Wisconsin and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation rank counties across the country each year, looking at factors like lifespan, access and quality of health care, and environmental factors.
Williamson County moved to the top spot after coming in second last year. Travis County ranked 12th with Hays County at number 14.
Texas has a total of 254 counties, though only 232 take park in the rankings.
