More than 3,000 Central Texans took the Livestrong Challenge over the weekend.
The 13th annual ride left Sunday morning from Dripping Springs High School. Austin area resident and seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong was at the front of the pack.
"Certainly, remember every pedal stroke we take today is in honor of people that are dealing with this disease or people who've unfortunately lost from this disease," Armstrong said.
"Looking around seeing all these people with 'I'm a Survivor' on their back and seeing them fighting this thing -- it's inspiring," said Tim Clitch, rider.
The Livestrong Challenge has raised nearly $10 million so far this year.
