Seventh-grader R.J. Hill decided to enroll in an online high school level P.E. class and said the course helped him with his fitness and understanding of heart health.
"It was just throwing my self out there, you know, why not? If I try it and like it. Just looking for something for an off-season football training," he said.
Hill had to keep workout logs and repeat the fitness routines he saw online. School officials said the online class is practical and can open students' eyes to health issues such as obesity.
Hill's family also decided to get involved in the exercise and diet program.
