New test detects peanut allergies

The number of kids with peanut allergies has been increasing over the last 10 to 15 years. Now there is a new blood test for peanut allergies that uses component testing to tell if someone is allergic to peanuts.

Dr. Allen Lieberman with the Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin spoke to KVUE about the test.
