ENCINITAS, California -- A popular workout is on trial in California. A lawsuit claims that yoga is too religious to be practiced in a public school.
Bringing yoga to the classroom was an experiment to see if the students enjoyed stretching and strength-building exercises.
Now a group of parents is taking on the school district because of the religious roots yoga has. Yet, some parents feel the lawsuit is a waste of tax dollars.
Both parties have agreed to let the judge decide the issue, and there is no jury.
The judge hearing the case will make the final decision.
