Sending your child with asthma or food allergies to school is daunting. The start of a new school year always brings new teachers and new challenges.

That's why it's important for parents to have an updated emergency action plan on file with their school.

Dr. Alan Lieberman with the Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin spoke to KVUE.
