Chronic sinusitis can cause serious breathing problems, pain, fatigue and a whole host of other symptoms.

Balloon sinuplasty has been used for years on adults with chronic sinusitis who are not helped by antibiotics. There have never been studies on whether it can benefit children, until now.

Doctor Karen Stierman, is an Austin ear, nose, and throat surgeon who is now doing this procedure on children. Amy Kupfer also spoke with KVUE Midday. She has a  5-year-old son who suffered from chronic sinusitis.
