The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation has given nearly $1 million to Dell Children's Medical Center to address childhood obesity.

The money will establish the center for the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity in Austin.

The facility will serve families who are wanting to make lifestyle changes and receive treatment for their child's obesity.

The center will work on policy making and also help communities find ways to fight the epidemic.
