You can support young local filmmakers while enjoying a cinematic night of cuisine and cocktails. It's the Austin Film Festival's 8th Annual Film & Food Gala.

All proceeds from the ticket sales and event auctions benefit AFF’s Young Filmmakers Program. The program encourages students, ages 9 - 18, to explore their creativity and improve their literacy skills through the arts of screenwriting and filmmaking. Programs are offered free through AISD schools and partner organizations.

Participating restaurants for the Film & Food Gala: 1886 Café & Bakery, Austin Cake Balls, The Belmont, The Boiling Pot, The Carillon, Carmelo’s Ristorante, Dragon Gate by Phoenix, Driskill Grill & Bar, Eddie V’s, Fonda San Miguel, Garrido’s, Judges’ Hill Restaurant & Bar, Maria Maria, Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, Parkside, Passion Café, Polkadots Cupcake Factory, Ranch 616, Roaring Fork, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Siena Ristorante Toscano.

The event is at the Driskill Hotel on October 20 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $85, but AFF members pay $70. Click here to buy your tickets or call 512-478-4795.
