A group of youngsters got a chance to try calling live turkeys on Wednesday.
Several 4- and 5-year-olds from Stepping Stone School in North Austin tried to impress the expert judges with their turkey calls.
It’s the kickoff to the annual Turkey Trot, benefiting Caritas of Austin.
The race starts at Waterloo Park on Thanksgiving Day.
