SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Voters approved a nearly $76 million bond package for the San Marcos CISD on election night.
With all precincts reporting, voters passed Proposition 1 with 59 percent. It asked for $58 million for construction and renovations on schools in the district.
Proposition 2 passed with 52 percent. It asks for more than $18 million for a new multi-purpose athletic stadium.
School officials say the district doesn't have a stadium and rents out the Bobcat Stadium from Texas State University for all athletic events.
