AUSTIN -- Work is underway on a new home for a deserving family in East Austin.

KVUE is partnering once again with Habitat for Humanity and SolarWinds to give a family a home for the holidays.

Walls for the home started going up this week.

It's being built for the Loya family --  a mother, son and daughter who immigrated to Texas 22 years ago and have worked for years helping build other Habitat homes.

Volunteers from SolarWinds say working on the project a unique and direct way to give back to the community.

"It allows our employees not only donate financially to this project, they raised almost half of the amount of the money required to sponsor this build, but they also get to come out here day after day and be a part of raising the home from the ground up," explains Tiffany Nels, SolarWinds VP of Marketing.

Construction will take three weeks. Habitat hopes to hand over the keys over to the Loya family by Christmas.
