AUSTIN -- If you've looked at your calendar or Facebook, you probably know Wednesday is 12-12-12.
The dates won't align like that again until 01-01-2101. This is the last of our lifetimes a date will align as such.
Some chose to get married Wednesday. Michele and Stephen Hays are one of at least 12 couples getting married in Travis County Precinct 3. The kiss happened right at 12 minutes past 12 p.m.
Justice of the Peace Susan Steeg says brides and grooms often line up when the numbers do, saying 08-08-08 and 07-07-07 were big days on the aisle.
Numerologist Diane Parma of www.lifebynumbers.com, helped KVUE decode why some think of 12-12-12 as a lucky day.
Parma says in numerology, 12 is the combination 1 and 2. One is the masculine. Two is the female energy, and together they create the perfect balance of yin and yang.
"It's the balancing of the male and female energy," Parma said.
Plus, she says you add up the one and two to get three. Three energy is joy.
"Then we start looking at the 12, the 12, the 12. We just enhanced it by repeating ourselves over and over again," said Parma.
So any bundle of joy born on 12-12-12 is joy times three. Parma says babies born Wednesday will be extremely intuitive.
"They're here as messengers, so they'll be very enlightened beings," Parma said. She says they will be here to teach us a lesson of some kind.
For the rest of us, Parma says individual numbers are totaled into the numerology of the day and says any day can be special.
"Everything has a meaning to it," Parma said.
It's partly what you make of it, whether it's buying a lottery ticket or marking it with marriage.
Just as Michele and Stephen Hays were kissing, a mother gave birth at St. David's hospital at 12 minutes after noon.
