WILLIAMSON COUNTY -- While residents in the Artisan Apartments and nearby neighborhood on West Parmer Lane were asleep Tuesday night, a vandal was tagging their property.

"I was livid," said Alicia Perry. "I'm not going to lie, I was quite angry."

Her car is one of 20 white vehicles that is now covered with curse words and obscene pictures, drawn in bright blue spray paint.

Perry was taking out the trash when she saw her car.

"It's like, do you have no sense of value for someone else's stuff? It's just, I don't understand why," the college student said.

Her neighbor, Zaid Adams, is also trying to make sense of what happened.

"I was just devastated," said Adams. "I really didn't know what to do at first because there was a lot of it on my windscreen and I couldn't get out because, you know, it was blocking my view on the road."

All of the drawings are different, but there is one thing that is the same, a circle with a symbol on the hood of the driver's side.

Investigators with the Williamson County Sheriff's Office said it is not gang related and they already have a suspect but no arrest have been made.

While investigators work to solve the case, the owners of the cars are working on repair their vehicles.

"I used nail polish remover. So I used that to wipe it off so I would be able to drive," Adams said.

That worked on his windows but not the whole car. He and Perry are each looking at paying at least $500 to fix their cars.

"I hope that whoever it is gets caught and they have to face some, like jail time, because seriously, that's a lot of damage on my car," said Perry.

Adams agreed.

"Really punish them. Because it's, it's really bad. There is no reason for this kind of thing," Adams said.

A senseless crime, tarnishing the start of the new year.
