FRISCO -- Dallas Cowboys rookie sensation Dak Prescott seemingly perpetually checks all the boxes in what a team wants in a leader and a quarterback on and off the field, according to a Star-Telegram report.
After leading the Cowboys to a shocking 5-1 record while ranking fifth in the NFL in passing with seven touchdowns and one interception, the poised and mature quarterback is continuing his impressive moves during the bye week by bypassing a late night television show appearance and an overseas endorsement opportunity to go home to Louisiana and spend time with his grandma.
“It’s football and family,” Prescott said. “That’s what I focus on. If I have time to get away and spend time with my family that I’m not going to get to do for awhile that I haven’t done for a while. I’m going to take advantage of it. It’s more important to me to spend time with my family than go with those deals.
“One of them was a late night show with somebody. Another one was out of country and that was definitely no. Those deals with be there. If they really want it bad enough, they will find a way.”
