Austin man arrested on child porn charges

AUSTIN - A 29-year-old Austin man has been arrested on child pornography charges, the attorney general’s office announced Wednesday.

Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office said Francisco Daniel Arguello was arrested after the Child Exploitation Unit (CEU) acted on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. CEU investigators executed a search warrant on Arguello’s home and confiscated “computers, cell phones digital devices and additional hardware” for examination by the Digital Forensics Unit.

Arguello declined to be interviewed by CEU investigators, and was booked into the Travis County Jail on $70,000 bond. He faces four third-degree felony charges of possession of child pornography. If convicted, Arguello faces up to 10 years in prison on each charge.
