APD searching for suspect in five armed robberies

Austin police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect in a string of armed robberies during the month of March.

The suspect has targeted restaurants late at night. The robberies occurred at:

  • Domino’s Pizza, 719 William Cannon Dr. on Wednesday, March 15 at 11:44 p.m. 
  • Domino’s Pizza, 720 Bastrop Highway on Thursday, March 16 at 12:55 a.m. 
  • IHOP, 1101 S. Mopac Expressway on Monday, March 20 at 3:44 a.m. 
  • IHOP, 901 E. Koenig Ln. on Monday, March 20 at 4:42 a.m.
  • Chevron, 30 North IH-35 Service Road Southbound on Thursday, March 30 at 2:47 a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5'11" and 6'0" tall. He was seen wearing two different style letterman jackets and a bandana covering his face. 

In all five robberies, the suspect was armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine.
