Police seeking assistance identifying hotel robber

AUSTIN - Police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for robbing a South Austin hotel Saturday morning.

APD said the man entered the Park West Inn Hotel around 7:15 a.m. Oct. 1 and inquired about the price of a room. Police said the man then showed a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. APD said the man left with an undisclosed amount of money and that no injuries were reported. The Park West Inn is located between Royal Hill Drive and East Oltorf Street along the NB Interstate 35 frontage road.

The robber is described by police as a black man in his early 20s, between 5-feet 6-inches and 5-feet 9-inches tall “with a medium build and short to medium fade cut hairstyle.”
