Reward offered for information in gun store burglary

AUSTIN – A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information in connection to an August burglar at a southwest Austin gun store.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said that around 4:10 a.m. Aug. 28, three people used a vehicle to break into the Storied Firearms, located at 9300 West U.S. 290. The three stole 35 firearms before fleeing the scene, ATF said, adding that it and the Travis County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

ATF is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is matching the reward. Those with information are asked to call the ATF at 1-800-ATF-TIPS (800-283-8477), or the Travis County Sheriff’s Office at 512-854-1444.
