According to a new report from the International Energy Agency, the US is expected to be the world's largest oil producer by around the year 2020, kicking Saudi Arabia out of the top spot.
And the US will be energy independent ten years after that.
America's rise to the top is credited to a recent resurgence in oil and gas production and the fact that newer vehicles are more fuel efficient.
